・日本入国＆出国用の航空券を（仮）予約し、フライト情報：便名・時刻をＨＩＦにe-mail
・参加費をＨＩＦ口座に送金 - ステップ ３
上記２をＨＩＦで受理 次第 、以下の書類をお送りします。
・招聘 理由書（Letter of reason for invitation）
・身元保証書（Letter of Guarantee）
・滞在予定表（Detailed schedule including your flight information)
・参加費領収書 （Receipt of your tuition payment）
・プログラム概要 （HIF summer program outlines）
・合格書 （Your acceptance letter）
・ＨＩＦ登記 謄本 （Verification of HIF） - ステップ ４
HIFより上記書類が届き次第 、お近くの日本大使館/領事館でビザ申請 をしてください。申請から発行まで、3～４週間かかります。
留学先に戻る場合：Re-entering your country of residence
ＨＩＦプログラム後、留学先の国に戻る場合、学生ビザが切れていないか事前に確認してください。
短期滞在ビザを学生ビザに変更する場合：Extend your stay in Japan to participate in another language programs or university
- ステップ １
HIFプログラム後に留学する大学に、在留 資格 認定 証明書 Resident eligibility.の発行を依頼 して下さい。
ＨＩＦでは、在留 資格 認定 証明書 は発行いたしません。 - ステップ ２
日本国内の入国 管理 事務所 で、ビザの切り替えを行って下さい。 申請代：4000円がかかります。
※学生ビザに切り替えると、Ｊａｐan Ｒａｉｌ Ｐａｓｓ が使えなくなります。ご注意ください。
帰国用チケット：Return tickets
短期滞在ビザ/ビザ免除で日本に来る場合、出国手続き/日本入国手続きの際に、帰国用航空券の
Passport
You must have a passport for travel to Japan. If you do not have a passport, contact your local passport agency.
If you have a passport, check the expiry date. Please renew your passport if it expires before you return to your host institution.
Immunization
It is not necessary to be immunized before entering Japan.
Visa

NOTE
Ensure that your nationality is that printed in your passport, regardless of whether you possess a green card.
If you need a visa to enter Japan
- Step 1
Please contact the nearest Japanese consulate or embassy to ask what kinds of documents you need to submit to apply for your visa.

a) Book your international flight to ENTER Japan and LEAVE Japan (tentative booking is OK) and e-mail HIF your flight information: Airlines, Flight schedule.
b) Bank wire your tuition to the HIF bank account - Step 3
HIF will mail out the following documents when we receive a) and b)

・滞在予定表（Detailed schedule including your flight information)
・参加費領収書 （Receipt of your tuition payment）

Please take procedures of your visa application after you receive the documents from HIF. Please note Visa application process may take 3~4 weeks.
Extend your stay in Japan to participate in another language programs or university
- Step 1
Please ask the foreign student advisor of the program you will join before departing from your home country to issue your authorization of resident eligibility. - Step 2
You can take procedures at immigration offices in Japan to change from a short terms stay visa to another visa. Usually you can obtain another visa on the day you apply.
*HIF cannot issue visa documents other than for our eight-week summer program.
*Once you change your short stay visa to another long-term visa, you cannot use the Japan Rail Pass.
Return tickets
If you are studying outside of your country of normal residence, please ensure that your student visa will allow you to enter the host country after you leave Japan.
